Kinjo Sushi & Grill started as a dream and has quickly scaled into the largest sushi and Japanese cuisine restaurant in Calgary now serving 7 locations. We have plans to keep growing in this city we call home and to bring the taste of Kinjo to other cities in Canada.

Current Openings

Servers are the face of Kinjo. They are an important part of our customers’ day, and experts in handling food and beverage orders. Connecting and creating the moments that make a difference in each person’s day. Meeting & Greeting Guests, Taking food and beverage orders. Cleaning and setting up tables for guests, help in opening and closing duties, Entertaining guests with team members.
- Friendly and caring nature
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Understands basic POS functins
- Able to process and execute multiple taks
- Available to work flexible hours that may include mornings, evenings,
weekends, nights and/or holidays

Sushi may look like a simple dish of fish and rice, but preparing sushi takes specialized training in how to cut and prepare fish, cook perfect rice, make rolls and wraps, and balance flavours. Our chefs are indoctrinated in Japanesee culture and cuisine, where they also learn other dishes such as sashimi, tempura, and teppanyaki, etc.

Running a Japanese kitchen demands the same managerial duties as any type of kitchen. Kitchen managers must ensure that ingredients are fresh, colorful and always in stock, that the all-important knives are sharp and clean, and that all equipment is in working order. Kitchen managers supervise chefs and other food preparation workers, hire and train staff, and ensure that all sanitation and safety standards, both in-house and legal, are followed.
- Diploma Certification in a Culinary discipline preferred
- Preferably have experience related in Culinary Industry
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Able to process and execute multiple tasks
